CPI rose 0.1% in July, in line with expectations and following a 0.4% decline in June, as gas prices fell 2.9% on the month.

On a yearly basis, CPI was up 3.4%, also in line with expectations and down from 3.5% in June.

Core CPI was up 0.2% on the month and 2.5% y/y, both in line with the estimates.
