According to Apptopia, Bumble’s user churn was estimated at 39.7% in Q4 2025, up 3.4% QoQ and 5.3% YoY

Assessment
My trust level on Apptopia’s data is low given that it overestimates Match Group’s MAU. According to Match Group, Tinder’s MAU stood at around 47 M in Q3 2024, hence Apptopia’s estimate for the entire company seems exaggerated. Perhaps this data is only good for showing trend in user engagement. However, it says that its Mobile Performance Index (MPI) has largely tracked Bumble’s payers in the past, hence it could be a better metric to track.

I=10
Bumble had around 18 m MAUs and 4 m registrations post-quality reset versus 22 m and 6m pre-quality reset, respectively

  • Despite performance marketing spend being reduced by as much as 85%, paid registrations declined by only around 2%.
  • CFO Bailey pointed out in the earnings call that the information shared on MAU and registration trends are stale as they don’t reflect business today (February to April, which has stabilized). It was shared as part of call for refinancing.
