IONOS replaces its CFO of five years

  • IONOS has appointed Patrik Heider as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) effective November 15, 2025, replacing Britta Schmidt who is leaving the company at her own request.
  • Schmidt has been CFO for five years and was also responsible for the legal department and investor relations.
  • Heider was most recently CEO of the telecommunications provider NFON and also previously served as CEO of the software companies Thinkproject and riskmethods.

Assessment
Based on his previous roles, Patrik Heider seems like an experienced CFO. I didn’t find any reports or speculations suggesting Schmidt may have left on bad terms.
