Analysts welcomed the teen lawsuit settlement, with many analysts expecting engagement headwinds to be immaterial

He also added that the product changes will likely have minimal impact since it only affect 0.5% of Meta’s global user base.

EMARKETER senior analyst Minda Smiley said the the under-18 product changes “don’t appear to be incredibly drastic,” with many protections optional, although the decision to settle suggests Meta recognized that its legal arguments were not going particularly well in court.
