Meta introduces Muse Code agent in beta version, powered by new Muse Spark 1.2

Meta rolls out first coding agent called Muse Code.
“Muse Code is a terminal coding agent, like many of the other coding agents on the market,” Wang said. “So you can install it with one command and then use it to take on complete software engineering tasks across a wide variety of use cases, planning changes, writing code, validating the results.”

Meta charges $1.25 per million tokens in input and $4.25 per million tokens of output to use Muse Code, cheaper than Claude and OpenAI’s Codex assistants.
Assessment
While the pace of LLMs rollout is improving, their performance rankings haven’t significantly improved since the launch of Muse Spark 1.1. Muse Spark 1.2 ranks 5th on Vals Index and 7th on Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index (Notion).
