At Cannes Lions advertising festival, Meta also announced a number of new AI ad features, other than ads in WhatsApp. The main ones include;
- Integration of AI agents into ads: Advertisers can now embed AI agents into ads, enabling users to chat with bots when they click the ads.
- Voice-activated business AI: Meta is testing voice functionality in AI agents which enable customers to naturally speak with branded bots.
- AI-powered language translation: Meta’s creative tools can now translate content into 10 different languages.
- Image-to-Video ad tool: The feature turns static images into multi-scene videos, ad text overlays and music and even format the content for Reels.
- Video highlights for ads: The feature uses GenAI to extract and highlight relevant sections from video ads, increasing watch time and reducing skips.
