Match Group Management

Match Group’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) Hesam Hosseini departs as the company eliminates the role

  • Hosseini was appointed to the COO role in March 2025 but has been with the company for over 15 years.

  • He was also the CEO of Evergreen & Emerging Brands (from Dec 2022) and previously held multiple leadership roles, including CEO of Match and Match Affinity, CEO of Plenty of Fish, General Manager of New Initiatives, and General Manager of Match International.

  • The decision may explain why Hinge’s Chief Operating Officer Angel Franklin left the company in January 2026 (Notion).

  • The elimination of the COO role comes as Tinder prepares for its first-ever product-focused event next week.

  • It also comes after Bumble combined the chief product and chief technology roles two months ago.

Assessment
The decision is likely intended to streamline execution and reduce management layers. I will see if I can find more insights on it.
