Guideline:Proprietary studies

I created a new topic about proprietary study guidelines and started to summarize some first thoughts in a wiki article called Guideline:Proprietary studies.

Do you have ideas and thoughts which important steps are missing here? I think as a general reference point we could use academic research papers or studies but ultimately build a solid methodology for conducting and writing studies which fits our usecase well.

If unsure please ask clarifying questions.

As an example a first clarification on accessibility:
I like the style a lot of our articles is written in and that it is geared towards a more professional audience.
Accessibility in that context could mean to add just a bit of introductory informations at the beginning of the article for more beginner investors and is only the icing on the cake so not highest prio.
On the other hand if an sophisticated investor has problems to follow a topic or how we conducted research accessibility is critical impaired and could loose us credibility which needs to be avoided.

I agree that our first point should be academic papers or studies. But studies that can inform our “Upwork Deep Dive” research don’t exist. That’s why I went an extra mile to find the needed information through my own study.

Exactly! That’s completely right. We have never done this before and now need to develop some guidelines what is important both for the study and the audience.

Like always i expect that to be an iterative process with continuous improvement. Hopefully some of my Feedback at which parts i would more descriptions and clarity as a reader is helpful.

yep. I have updated the article to capture your feedback.
