Last month 1&1 launched a voluntary redundancy program targeted at approximately 60 people from the Operations/Customer Care department.

United Internet’s CEO Ralph Dommermuth said during the recent earnings call that he sees enormous potential for job cuts as AI drives efficiency gains.
“As you can see, we have fewer employees today than we did a year or two ago. I believe we once had 11,000 employees, and now we’re at 10,400. And if you ask me how many people we’ll have when we meet again in a year, I would say fewer than 10,400. Yes, because we’ve achieved enormous efficiency gains.”
