Sell->neutral, €75 ->€105: Analyst Patrick Hummel of UBS said there are tailwinds for sales and there is progress on earnings. He said skepticism regarding Volkswagen’s business in China is holding him back from “buy” recommendation.

Overweight, €105-> €125: Barclays said Volkswagen is likely to achieve the low point of its earnings guidance in 2025. He said the start of 2025 is likely to be weak but there is likely to be some activity given the medium-term decline in spending. He added that the comparisons between investments and cash flows certainly looks good.

Hold->Buy, €115->€125: Analyst Pal Skirta of Metzler Bank sees Volkswagen as a winner of the German federal election and the European plans for the auto industry. He said Volkswagen brands are in a good position when it comes to subsidies for electric cars.

Neutral, €110: Analyst Jose Asumendi of JPMorgan said Volkswagen’s presentations at the Shanghai Auto Show are likely to deepen its technological footprint and underpin its sales momentum from 2026 onwards.
