Meta asks some employees in its Applied AI division if they want to become managers again

  • Meta had moved those people from management roles to its Applied AI (AAI) division.
  • Around 7,000 employees were moved to AAI when Meta created the group this year.
  • The company allowed some employees reassigned to AAI to leave the organization following complaints that they had been “drafted” into the unit.
